Aux Field

- Our work on the alternate field has been a great success and as a result we have a place to fly anytime. Only one word of caution, pay attention to frequency control, only one field can be open, on airplane weeks we use the primary field, on go Kart weeks we use the alternate. We must follow this standard to ensure we won't have interfence and shoot ourselves down. No exceptions on this for now. A sign will go up soon just to keep it straight. Follow the arrow.

- The mountain bikers parking in the parking lot at the back corner of the alternate field will eventually pose a problem. We fly over their vehicles. We can either look at moving their parking lot and hopefully not cause an issue or we could erect a net around the parking space to protect the vehicles and not worry about it. A net could be $300 to $600. Thoughts on that?

- A person representing a company called "Fireball" called me seeking our approval to allow him to locate a paint ball range in the area South of our primary field. This would be back behind the big trees, just east of the soccer fields. John North is making him seek approval from all tenants in Butts Park. I don't see any problems for us, but I did tell him before we OK it, we need a map or diagram showing exactly where he will be located.

- The next thing we need for our alternate field is a transmitter impound structure. I am thinking of something mounted on skids about 6' by 12', designed just like our current impound. We could build it in my work shop and put it on a trailer to haul to the field. Maybe some Saturday we could set up to do this. I have all of the tools for this, however a framing nail gun would be good. I have compress air, table saw, mitre saw, planer, routers and etc.. Maybe we could have a cookout also- after the work is done.

- I need to call John North ask if the city would provide a sign "No Loitering beyond this point when airplanes are present" to put at the second curve entering into our alternate field. .........Todd Jardee, President.

- You only fly on the Auxiliary field on Karter's weeks, and on Hinkle field on our weeks. Period.
